What This Means for You
- You can continue to work with/or sign up with Independent @ Home as your facilitator.
- Services to consumers and payments to personal assistants will continue without interruption.
- We will make sure you continue receiving care and services in the ways that matter to you.

What You Need to Know
Effective April 1, 2025, Public Partnership LLC (PPL) became the sole provider for Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) in New York State. You can still work with Independent @ Home of CNY Inc. if you choose as our program is a facilitator for PPL.
Independent @ Home can be a resource to new or existing CDPAP consumers. Please reach out to us to learn more at 1-800-234-2211.
Here are the steps to get started:
- Consumers
- Connect with Independent @ Home for assistance with registering with PPL.
- If Independent @ Home is assigned in the PPL system as your facilitator we can assist with this registration process.
- Personal Assistants
- Work with your consumer to get registered to work with PPL.
- Fill out, sign and submit necessary forms and documents online through the PPL website. Independent @ Home staff can assist with this process.
- Follow up on all steps required to become a Personal Assistant for PPL (i.e. health assessment, trainings, verification of personal identification).
